Garment Finishing
After the screenprinting; and/or embroidery is done, it’s time for the finishing touches to get your garments retail ready: custom labelling, hem tagging, poly bagging and applying stickers all help you put your mark on the product and make it look professional.
LABEL REMOVAL
Wholesale garments have a branded tag attached, which we remove to make way for your custom branding. Our methods here are either to unpick and sew, cut and sew or half cut, which removes the branded label but leaves the care instructions.
RE-LABELLING
You can provide us with your custom tags or we can make them for you, and then we attach them with similar or contrasting thread. The placement of the label can vary, but the most popular areas are on the sleeve, bottom hem, hoodie pocket or strings.
CUSTOM TAGS
We can apply an inside custom neck print instead of a label, which some of our customers find more comfortable to wear than a tag. The printed logo, size and care instructions give the garment a professional look, but at a cheaper price than labelling.
POLY-BAGGING
We can fold, poly bag and wrap your garments in eco-friendly tissue paper to keep them fresh, un-creased, and clean. Poly-bagging protects your items from any dust and dirt and makes it easier for retailers to sort sizes and styles.
EXTRAS
We can add stickers for size, barcodes, swing tags and tickets to easily identify your garments and convey more information. We try to re-use boxes sent to us from our suppliers, but we can send your garments to you in fresh boxes if you prefer.

Screen Printing
We’ve been doing this for four decades now. Each of our state-of-the-art machines can print 600 garments an hour and we’ve got the process down to a fine art. That means colour faithful prints that won’t fade, that are soft to the touch and long-lasting.
Learn MoreEmbroidery
You can’t screen print perfectly on every garment, and that’s when embroidery comes into its element. It’s a stunning way to showcase your logo on jackets, hats, bags and workwear – it’s particularly durable and looks and feels premium.
Learn MoreDirect-to-Garment Printing
For this method, the artwork is printed straight onto the garment using a specialized inkjet printer. As it’s a digital process, the result is a higher resolution image and sharper print. It’s a growing part of our business at Fifth Column.
